# Local-only constraints for Intel (x86_64) macOS development machines.
#
# Why this file exists
# --------------------
# Newer releases of these two packages publish *arm64-only* macOS wheels. On an
# Intel Mac pip therefore falls back to the source distribution and tries to
# compile a Rust/C extension, which takes many minutes and needs a toolchain.
# These pins select the newest releases that still ship an x86_64 (or universal2)
# macOS wheel, so `pip install` stays binary and fast.
#
# This is a *developer convenience* constraint. It does NOT change any runtime
# behaviour, and it must NOT be used for container/production images, which
# should build from `pyproject.toml` alone on linux/amd64.
